Deposits Insured in Full
At Adams Community Bank every deposit is insured in full. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation's (FDIC) standard deposit insurance amount is $250,000 per depositor, for each account ownership category. Funds deposited in a sole proprietor's name are added to any other single accounts of the sole proprietor and the total is insured to a maximum of $250,000 in the sole proprietor's single accounts.
All deposits above that amount are insured by the Depositors Insurance Fund of Massachusetts (DIF).
Please note that higher FDIC coverage amounts are available under certain circumstances, depending on account ownership structuring and other factors. (For example, a joint account is insured separately from either of the owners’ individual accounts.)
